     An interesting thing to visit close to Hardeman Lake is Hardeman Dam, and New Hope Campground is a pleasant local campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Yellow River, and if you came for an overnight stay Shingle Roof Campground is a good place to camp. The high level of precipitation makes Hardeman Lake a quite wet place; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most;
   September on the other hand is the driest. If time allows, Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a national park worth checking out.
A magnificent nearby hotel is Days Inn McDonough, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by S H Lake. So many fun things to do at Hardeman Lake, so little time. There are some splendid whitewater spots on South River, and if you need a place to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson

               McDonough is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, McGarity Lake is close by, and Georgia National Golf Club is a good golf course nearby.
At Hardeman Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are typically in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Hardeman Lake.
