Hammock Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is October. High temperatures at Hammock Lake through the warm months are in the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the       winter highs are ordinarily in the 60's; during the dark hours in the winter at Hammock Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Hammock Lake is right next door to Lake Hammock Dam East which is a lovely spot without doubt worth visiting, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Turket Creek. Stay the night at Paradise Island Fishing, and while you're here, you could also explore wonderful                  Lake Hammock West. At Hammock Lake you always meet someone from Valdosta; a great place for whitewater paddling is Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal). So much cool stuff next to Hammock Lake, clearly unbelievable.
