Guesthouse Intl Lake Park is a nice location to get some rest, and Hammock Lake is a wonderful site to camp, Paradise Island Fishing is a wonderful site. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) offers some glorious whitewater, and glorious water scenery is available at Lake Hammock Dam East in the vicinity of Hammock Lake. Whitewater       paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Turket Creek, and camping at Hammock Lake is great fun, Eagles Roost Campground is a great local campground. Hammock Lake gets a lot of water; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is October. Summertime at Hammock Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 60's                  with temperatures at Hammock Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Hammock Lake truly is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. This is a popular location for folks from Valdosta. A great close by hotel is Quality Inn Lake Park.
