Hair Lake is great! You'll meet a lot of folks from Summerville here, and Key West Inn La Fayette is a fine spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at James H. Floyd State Park; get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Little River - East Fork. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Allen Creek;       why not pop by Hair Lake Dam if you're here. Bald Mountain is pretty and can be made out from Hair Lake; a magnificent close by hotel is Lafayette Days Inn. A tour to Hair Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Gamble Spring, and why not camp at Camp Laney while you're here at Hair Lake. During the summer at Hair Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the                  40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hair Lake.
