The high level of rain makes Grimes Pond a reasonably wet site; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Grimes Pond. If you came to camp Little River Park       is a brilliant place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Grimes Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground is a wonderful site for that, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Milledgeville, Ga. is a great location to get some rest. Not far from Grimes Pond, you'll stumble on Hollinshead Pond which is a lovely lake, and at Grimes Pond Dam near Grimes Pond there are some interesting                  things to see.
