At Green Valley Lake Dam close to Green Valley Lake there are some exciting things to see, and visiting Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Lakes? Sure, McClenney Lake is close at hand; South Oaks Manufactured Home is a great campground nearby. | | wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Green Valley Lake. Lots of rainfall falls at Green Valley Lake; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Lodge Union City is a fine location to spend a night or two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Green Valley Lake. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Green
Valley Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Union City, and this is a popular location for folks from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta.
Paddling on Sweetwater Creek is so much fun.

It's not only accessible but it's very accessible. For some bizarre reason the County put in a boat ramp, so get out there and paddle around a bit. Pick up some trash left by some people and storm runoff while your at it....I was born and grew up in the community surrounding this lake from 1955 to 1969. Too bad it is not more easily accessible....Buena Vista Lake is just a tiny pond in a city park. There is no reason for tourists to visit unless you happen to be staying in the neighborhood and want to take a walk.... |
