A lake nearby is Lot Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal), needless to say you could also stop at Nasty Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Turket Creek. There's so much to do here at Grassy Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Eagles Roost Campground is a glorious place for that. If you're       stopping by Grassy Pond from Valdosta, you won't be the only one, and if you need a spot to stay Valdosta-Days Inn Lake Park is a delightful choice.
