Nearby lakes? Sure, Nasty Pond is right next door to Grassy Pond; a glorious swamp close to Grassy Pond is Zeigler Lake. Grassy Pond gets a large amount of water; during July this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area close       to Grassy Pond has to offer. You could also pop by Lot Pond while you're here at Grassy Pond; it's close by, and a tremendous place to camp here at Grassy Pond is Eagles Roost Campground. Why not camp at Paradise Island Fishing since you're here at Grassy Pond, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal). At Grassy Pond throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures                  dip down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Grassy Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
