    The beauty of Goshen Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. There are some nice whitewater spots on Savannah River; if you need a site to stay Quality Inn South is a brilliant choice. Flynn's Inn Camping Village is a glorious local campground, and if you get bored of Goshen Lake you could also pop by nearby McDade Pond.
Why not camp at Fox Hollow Camp Ground while you're here at Goshen Lake, and the wonderful people of Augusta-Richmond
 
   County like to hang out close by. Much rain falls at Goshen Lake; most of the rain falls all through March; the driest month is November. A glorious nearby hotel is Scottish Inns Gordon Hwy; a lake nearby is Carmichael Pond.
Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Goshen Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Goshen Lake temperatures sink
 
               to the 30's. All the outdoors amusing stuff near Goshen Lake will keep you coming back many times. You can take a little trip to Goshen Lake Dam if you're here at Goshen Lake; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Goshen Plantation Golf Club.

There are two open spillway dams between the Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry) Bridge and I-20: Stevens Creek Dam (at the confluence of Stevens Creek) and the Augusta Canal Diversion Dam (about a mile downstream of Stevens Creek Dam). There are no marked access points immediately on either side of either dam. Georgia Power Co. operates an electric generating facility on the Georgia (south) bank at Stevens Creek. At the Canal, since the canal immediately parallels the river some twenty feet above it, there is no river access whatsoever on the Georgia side. Portage would be recommended along private land on the South Carolina side of both dams....
