There are some nice whitewater spots on Savannah River; if you need a site to stay Quality Inn South is a brilliant choice. Flynn's Inn Camping Village is a glorious local campground, and if you get bored of Goshen Lake you could also pop by nearby McDade Pond. Why not camp at Fox Hollow Camp Ground while you're here at Goshen Lake, and the wonderful people of Augusta-Richmond       County like to hang out close by. Much rain falls at Goshen Lake; most of the rain falls all through March; the driest month is November. A glorious nearby hotel is Scottish Inns Gordon Hwy; a lake nearby is Carmichael Pond. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Goshen Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's.
