Many people like to go to Gordon Lake. Camping is available at Ringgold Koa Kampground; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Gordon Lake Dam. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at LaFayette City Reservoir right next door to Gordon Lake, and don't leave Gordon Lake without first going for a hike along the Skyuka Trail. Gordon Lake sees pretty
high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is August. There's whitewater on Allen Creek for all you thrill seekers, and at Gordon
Lake you always meet someone from Summerville. There's some flowing water nearby, Arnold Branch is a stream you can stop at while here.
This lake is so wonderful. There are splendid sites to explore along the Bluff Trail, and a visit to Gordon Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Big Spring.
