     Why not visit nearby Bath Branch if you're here at Gordon Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Augusta / Deans Bridge Road. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Gordon Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's; nighttime lows at Gordon Lake during the wintertime generally fall into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater  
   paddling is good on Savannah River, and a great location to camp here at Gordon Lake is Heritage Mobile Home Community. There are other places here than Gordon Lake, for example Mirror Lake; you're sure to come across some good people from Augusta-Richmond County here.
Gordon Lake mostly gets a large amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is November. Lakes? Sure, Ellis Pond is in close proximity, and camping at Byron Mobile
 
               Home and Camper is always a good experience. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Gordon Lakes Dam.
If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Gordon Lake. A round of golf at nearby Pointe South Golf Club is a pleasant way to kill some time, and if you need a location to stay Country Hearth Inn Augusta is a great choice.

There are two open spillway dams between the Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry) Bridge and I-20: Stevens Creek Dam (at the confluence of Stevens Creek) and the Augusta Canal Diversion Dam (about a mile downstream of Stevens Creek Dam). There are no marked access points immediately on either side of either dam. Georgia Power Co. operates an electric generating facility on the Georgia (south) bank at Stevens Creek. At the Canal, since the canal immediately parallels the river some twenty feet above it, there is no river access whatsoever on the Georgia side. Portage would be recommended along private land on the South Carolina side of both dams....
