Be careful coming to Gorbutt Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you came to camp Hamburg       State Park is a splendid location to do that. Gorbutt Pond is a wet place that gets lots of rain; throughout March this area sees the most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. Days Inn Sandersville is a great place to get some rest. Lakes are wonderful; George Pond is a lake that's close to Gorbutt Pond. At Gorbutt Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 90's.
