There's some flowing water close by, Hunters Creek is a stream you can stop at while here; camping is available at Poplar Springs Campgrounds. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Goolsby Pond is great! In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked,       you can always go whitewater paddling on Rice Creek. Much rainfall falls at Goolsby Pond; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is October. While you're here at Goolsby Pond, you could also check out wonderful Andrews Pond, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn is a great choice. For the duration of the summer here at Goolsby Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. All                  through the winter highs are generally in the 40's while Goolsby Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
