A glorious site for whitewater paddling right next door to Goodwin Lake is Chattahoochee River, and you don’t have to go far from Goodwin Lake to distinguish the water at Goodwin Lake Dam. Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a pleasant site in the vicinity of Goodwin Lake. Goodwin Lake is a wet place that gets much rainfall; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and September is the month with       the least moisture. If you came to camp Arrowhead Campground is a magnificent spot to do that, and Rottenwood Creek is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn of America; let's not forget Nickajack Creek which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. Airway Motel is a wonderful place to get some rest; do take a look at Castle Lake, it's a beautiful lake. High temperatures at Goodwin                  Lake all through the summer months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.
