Goodes Lake

Go on a tour to Haven Hills Equestrian Center if you want to ride a horse, and Cochran Mill City Park is a nice campground nearby. Tanyard Branch has a close by whitewater section; the above Dorsett Shoals Road segment is a splendid 0.33-mile-from-beginning-to-end type III-IV section of whitewater. The above Dorsett Shoals Road segment of Tanyard Branch is well suited for kayak paddlers who have been whitewater rafting and kayaking for a period of time but who
are not yet ready for the incredibly hazardous rapids. On Hurricane Creek you come across the close by GA Route 5 to Mt. Zion Road portion.
