Etowah River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by, and Gooch Lake is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Woody Gap Campground is a fine site to camp nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Dahlonega. This lake is so wonderful. You could also go to Hidden Lake if you're here at       Gooch Lake; it's close by, and close by you come across the Duncan Ridge Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. Brookshire Gap is a brilliant place to go to close by; there's some flowing water nearby, Big Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here. Summertime highs at Gooch Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into                  the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Gooch Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Devils Kitchen is a wonderful place to check out; here at Gooch Lake you can make out Ball Mountain. Two wheels Only Motorcycle Resort is a magnificent campground nearby, and the Benton Mackaye Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. That right there is loads of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Looking for something in close proximity to Gooch Lake?
