This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Dahlonega is a great choice. A fine nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Dahlonega. There's so much to do here at Gooch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Two wheels Only Motorcycle Resort is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. On a splendid day at Gooch Lake you       can take a hike along the Duncan Ridge Trail, and Brookshire Gap is without doubt a tremendous place to stop by. And if that's not enough there's lots more fun things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came to camp Woody Gap Campground is a magnificent site to do that, and you can run the rapids of Cooper Creek. For the duration of the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 80's at Gooch Lake. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. The cold days                  of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Gooch Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Gooch Lake, you could also have a look at striking Hidden Lake; there's whitewater on Etowah River for all you adrenaline people. The sight of delightful Ball Mountain near Gooch Lake is delightful, and Devils Kitchen is a delightful place any time of year. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. While you're here at Gooch Lake you can take a hike along the Benton Mackaye Trail, and hey, Big Creek is a great local stream. Yeah, come here to Gooch Lake for a great time. Woody Lake Dam is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Black Mountain Trail.
