On a magnificent day at Gooch Lake you can take a hike along the Duncan Ridge Trail, and the panorama of Ball Mountain is gorgeous. If you're here at Gooch Lake, you could visit Big Creek, and a tremendous place to camp here at Gooch Lake is Two wheels Only Motorcycle Resort. All through the months of summer at Gooch Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's, and through summer nights       temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Gooch Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. A lot of rain falls at Gooch Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. Do set aside some time for Devils Kitchen since you're here at Gooch Lake, and a great nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Dahlonega. This lake is one of the great                  places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Man, is there plenty of cool things to do close to Gooch Lake. There are some fine whitewater spots on Cooper Creek, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Benton Mackaye Trail. Man, is there a load of exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you would like a little side spree, try Brookshire Gap, and why not camp at Woody Gap Campground since you're here at Gooch Lake. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too nice to be true. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Etowah River, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Black Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
