The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Chestatee River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Gooch Lake; Whitly Gap Trail is a wonderful local trail. And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the water close by flows, like Turner Creek, and Gooch Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Paradise Valley Campground       is a perfect place to camp nearby. So much cool stuff to do here at Gooch Lake, too nice to be true. While you're here at Gooch Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Gainesville. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gooch Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dodd Creek Vista Campground. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Gooch Lake. If you come at                  the right time of year, Frogtown Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. High temperatures at Gooch Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's, and the night is quite chillier of course, regularly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while Gooch Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. So much entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just extraordinary. You'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Tallhurst Lake near Gooch Lake; Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Helan is a pleasant spot to get some rest. You don’t have to go far from Gooch Lake to see the water at Gooch Lake Dam, and a pleasant tour to Cowrock Flat is a splendid way to spend an afternoon. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not have a look at Camp Coleman Lake next to Gooch Lake, and Adams Bald is stunning and can be observed from here. Gooch Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
