For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Goldens Pond, high temperatures typically get into the 90's while night lows are generally in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 50's while Goldens Pond night low temperatures       through the wintertime are in the 30's. Camping at Goldens Pond is good fun, Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground is a good local campground; after a long day outdoors Budget Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. At Goldens Pond you always meet someone from Milledgeville. Lakes are great; Eady Pond is a lake that's close to Goldens Pond. Bull Branch is a charming stream that is worth a visit, and if you haven’t been to Ocmulgee National Monument,                  you have to schedule some time for it if you're here. Goldens Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful.
