Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mossy Creek, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Whitly Gap Trail. Don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Dean Creek. There is a pleasant hiking trail next to Glass Pond called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; you'll meet a lot of folks from Cornelia here. At Dorsey Lake Dam in the vicinity of Glass       Pond there are some interesting things to see, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Glass Pond has to offer, you can camp at Union Grove Campground; you obtain a delightful panorama of Skitt Mountain from here. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly into lakes, Dorsey Lake is one of those close by, and if you need                  a location to stay Cleveland Days Inn is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Glass Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Mossy Creek Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Lakes are great; Sims Lake is a lake that's near Glass Pond. For the duration of the days of summer at Glass Pond highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Glass Pond. Glass Pond is a wet location that gets lots of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is October.
