    If you are in this part of Georgia make sure to pay a visit to Glass Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Glass Pond is Mossy Creek Campground. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Glass Pond. A good view of scenic Skitt Mountain is available from Glass Pond, and why not camp at Union Grove Campground while you're here at Glass Pond. The warmest time of the year at Glass Pond comes with high temperatures  
   in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Glass Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
At Glass Pond you always meet someone from Cornelia, and whitewater paddling is good on Mossy Creek. There's always Dorsey Lake Dam to go to close to Glass Pond; if you need a place to stay Cleveland Days Inn is a great choice. If you're here at Glass
 
               Pond, you could stop at Dean Creek, and don't leave Glass Pond without first going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
Glass Pond is a reasonably wet place typically with a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most while October is typically the driest month. Econo Lodge Helen is a magnificent site to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There are brilliant places to look at along the Whitly Gap Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little John Creek.
