If you are in White county it's always a good idea to stop by Glass Pond. Dean Creek flows through this area; get soaked paddling on Mossy Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Clermont Hotel, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Dorsey Lake Dam. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Glass Pond called the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Days Inn is a fine choice.

This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Whitly Gap Trail is always a great adventure; Dorsey Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. At Glass Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 80's.
Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows during the winter for Glass Pond tend to be in the 20's.
Glass Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain; October meanwhile is the driest month.
