    Many people like to go to Gibson Lake. Why not have a look at Gibson Lake Dam since you're here. There's so much to do here at Gibson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Conasauga Campground is a fine site for that. There's whitewater on Mountaintown Creek for all you adrenaline people, and there's glorious hiking along the Bear Creek Trail. Gibson Lake is a quite wet place regularly with a lot of precipitation; March is when you get the most  
   rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Holly Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Gibson Lake; Emery Creek Trail is a splendid local trail. During the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Gibson Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's; overnight
 
               lows all through the winter for Gibson Lake tend to be in the 20's. Double Top is clearly visible from Gibson Lake, and Mulberry Gap is close by, and is a delightful spot.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Ellijay Inn is a nice choice, and Gibson Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Plum Nelly Campground is a wonderful local campground. Lots of people from Dalton come to Gibson Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Gibson Lake, you could visit Boatwright Branch, and the Mountaintown Creek Trail offers hiking at its best.
All the outdoors cool stuff close to Gibson Lake will keep you coming back many times. After a long day outdoors Cohutta Lodge & Restaurant is a good site to spend a night or two, and not far from Gibson Lake you'll find Rainbow Lake which is a beautiful lake.
