    The beauty of Getter Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear Creek, and if you've had enough of Getter Lake, Dyer Lake is nearby. Daniel Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot close to Getter Lake; there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Skyuka Trail. Man, is there plenty of cool things to do right next door to Getter Lake.
Getter Lake
 
   is a relatively wet place typically with lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is June. A splendid close by hotel is El Rancho Court, and going for a hike on the Bluff Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Visit Back Valley if you're here at Getter Lake; if you're hooked on cool geologic highlights try Range Point.
Lake Hills Estates Dam has great water scenery and it's near Getter Lake, and Getter
 
               Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Chattanooga West KOA is a nice local campground. Russell Cave National Monument is a very great spot to pop by in the neighborhood of Getter Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Chattanooga here. All through the summertime months here at Getter Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Getter Lake throughout the wintertime mostly drop into the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga West KOA is always a nice experience, and an afternoon playing golf at Air Castle Golf Club is always a joy. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. After a long day outdoors Trenton Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two; a splendid site nearby is Range Gap.
