Many people like to go to George Lake. All the outdoors exciting things in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. Lake Nottely RV Park is a magnificent campground here, and golf can be played at Union County Government Butternut Creek Golf Course. Don't leave George Lake without first going for a hike along the Duncan Ridge Trail, and camping at George Lake is delightful fun, Mountain Oak Cabins and Campground is a delightful local campground.

| | The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. From George Lake you get a great sight of Hanson Knob, and Parham Spring is a lovely place to stop at while you're at George Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a wonderful time. Sawmill Cove is near George Lake and is a great spot to visit, and not far from George Lake you get some great water scenery at George Lake Dam. in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to George Lake. George Lake is a wet spot that gets a large amount
of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is when it's the driest. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend
Cooper Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than George Lake, for example Hidden Lake, and you could always discover Hicks Gap. Best Western Milton Inn is a tremendous spot to get some rest; it's a tremendous
idea to take a look at Brackett Branch. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Blairsville, Georgia is a splendid choice, and splendid hiking is available along the Coosa Backcountry Trail. That
right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; George Lake has it all. Hiking is a popular thing to do around George Lake; Black Mountain Trail is a nice local trail; get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Blood Mountain Creek.
