The beauty of Garden Springs Lake attracts many people from all around. Summertime at Garden Springs Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and night lows all through the winter for Garden Springs Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Savannah River, and an afternoon playing golf at Forest Hills

the least amount of precipitation. Good hiking is available along the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail, and a gorgeous lake like Rosebud Lake is a perfect location to explore. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at
Garden Springs Lake is Heritage Mobile Home Community; you can go for a hike on the Horn Creek Hiking Trail. You can take a little trip to Rosedale Lake Dam while you're here at Garden Springs Lake, and Savannah Suites Augusta is
a good place to get some rest. Why not camp at Byron Mobile Home and Camper since you're here at Garden Springs Lake; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Augusta-Gordon Hwy@B. Jones Ex.

Savannah River
 | There are two open spillway dams between the Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry) Bridge and I-20: Stevens Creek Dam (at the confluence of Stevens Creek) and the Augusta Canal Diversion Dam (about a mile downstream of Stevens Creek Dam). There are no marked access points immediately on either side of either dam. Georgia Power Co. operates an electric generating facility on the Georgia (south) bank at Stevens Creek. At the Canal, since the canal immediately parallels the river some twenty feet above it, there is no river access whatsoever on the Georgia side. Portage would be recommended along private land on the South Carolina side of both dams.... |
