Hinton Lake is a wonderful lake close to Garant Lake, and after a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Thomaston is a great location to spend a night or two. You don’t have to go far from Garant Lake to catch a sight of the water at Garant Lake Dam, and get wet paddling on Potato Creek. Garant Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. While       you're here at Garant Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Thomaston; camping is available at Heart of Georgia RV Park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lazer Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Thomaston-Days Inn. High temperatures at Garant Lake during the long summer days are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's.
