If you are traveling by, why not stop by Gaeta Lake. A great nearby hotel is Blue Ridge - Days Inn. Since you're here at Gaeta Lake why not go to Deep Gap, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a fine site to spend a night or two. The high level of rain makes Gaeta Lake a reasonably wet location; throughout March this area sees the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cartecay River; a spree to Gaeta Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Mineral Springs. some fine whitewater, and from Gaeta Lake you obtain a pleasant vista of Davenport Mountain.
There's so much to do here at Gaeta Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Blue Ridge Campground is a good site for that, and of
course Charlie Creek flows through this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Blue Ridge Mineral Spg Rv Park is a fine location to do that; don't leave Gaeta Lake without first going for a hike along the Benton
McKaye Trail. While you're here at Gaeta Lake, you could also go to charming Blue Ridge Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Tearbritches Trail.
Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 80's at Gaeta
Lake, and the night is rather cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Gaeta Lake.
