Fulbright Pond truly is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. You could also take a look at Pruitt Lake while you're here at Fulbright Pond; it's close by; if you need a place to stay Days Inn Toccoa is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. | | and a pleasant place to camp here at Fulbright Pond is Toccoa Rv Park & Campground. Through the months of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Fulbright Pond; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Fulbright Pond temperatures plunge to the 20's. River. Fulbright Pond gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October meanwhile is the driest month. A lake close by is Ayers Pond, and a fine spot for whitewater paddling is Big Panther Creek.

 | ...950's. The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings. Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin. The shorelines and surounding hills are populated with native hardwoods and pine, creating scenery which is unsurpassed in the area. Wild turkey, deer, beave... |

 | 14 miles away 1 PHOTO Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Is this the right park??... |
