Do stop by Frank Lake while you're in this part of Georgia. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll meet a lot of folks from Cornelia here, and Frank Lake Dam has nice water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Nacoochee Valley Motel is a brilliant choice; why not take a refreshing hike along the Whitly Gap Trail. What a site this is for outdoors folks. | | Grove Nudist is a pleasant place to do that, and the Raven Cliff Falls Trail offers hiking at its best. Take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Some close by water includes Blue Creek, and you can run the rapids of Mud Creek. and a magnificent place to visit is Buck Shoals. This lake is so wonderful. Dean Mountain is clearly visible from Frank Lake, and Frank Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Union Grove Campground is a pleasant local
campground. A good nearby hotel is Cornelia-Days Inn; get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Chattahoochee River. Frank Lake is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; the month of March is the
wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is October. During the summertime months at Frank Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Frank Lake.
