Gore Lake
 | 14 miles away Very poor excuse for a pay lake. I do not think the lake was stocked, spent $30.00 to fish, no bites the entire 2.5 hours we were there. No signs of fish at all, no brim at the shore line, & no fish churning in the water, nothing but dead water. ... |

Whooping Creek
 | 19 miles away ...otdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking. Wait till summer and bring an innertube and a pair of cutt-offs instead. Please remember; respect the property owners and PLEA... |
