You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Fort Mountain Lake. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Fort Mountain State Park Dam in close proximity to Fort Mountain Lake; Sequoyah Caverns and Campgrounds is a fine campground here. Don't miss out on a trip to Russell Cave National Monument since you're here at Fort Mountain Lake, and obviously Hogue Creek flows through this area.       For the period of the warm days of summer at Fort Mountain Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Fort Mountain Lake. Fort Mountain Lake regularly gets much precipitation; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
