Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Cedar Creek, and Coker Lake is a nice lake nearby. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Rome Downtown is a nice place       to spend a night or two, and get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Johnnies Creek. Fort Jackson Reservoir is a quite wet place regularly with much precipitation; during March this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. All through the warmest time of the year at Fort Jackson Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's.
