All through the warmest time of the year at Fort Jackson Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Fort Jackson Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Callier Springs Country Club is a great way to kill some time; there are some magnificent whitewater       spots on Big Cedar Creek. Fort Jackson Reservoir is a pretty wet place typically with a good deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's so much to do here at Fort Jackson Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Rome-floyd County Recreation is a fine place for that. This is no place for people                  who don’t like to have a good time. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Fort Jackson Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Morrison Campground; there's whitewater on Johnnies Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. From Fort Jackson Reservoir you get a perfect sight of Blossom Hill, naturally you could also pop by Mitchells Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. If you're here, you might as well pop by Hells Hollow, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Rome for sure.
