Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Nearby lakes? Sure, Round Lake is near Forked Lake, and Salacoa Golf Course is a pleasant golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Forked Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Strickland Ferry Camp is a great local campground, and do stop at Dead River since you're here at Forked Lake.       At Forked Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 60's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Forked Lake dip into the 30's. You could also visit Long Lake since you're here at Forked Lake; it's close by; after a long day outdoors Ramada Jesup is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. A brilliant site near Forked Lake is Happy                  Hollow; swamps like Deep Slough are fun to go to. Forked Lake mostly gets a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is November. This lake is so wonderful.
