Go to Forest Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. The high level of rainfall makes Forest Lake a relatively wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and September is when it's the driest. Forest Park/Atlanta South Travelodge is a tremendous place to get some rest; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Chattahoochee River. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Angel Creek while you're here at Forest Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Truitt-fulton is a good site to camp. Suwanee Lake Dam is striking and it's near Forest Lake, and Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is a very great site to pop by. Not far from Forest Lake, you'll stumble on Ballard Pond which is a pretty lake.
