The beauty of Finny Lake is reason enough to stop by. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Towaliga River. There's so much to do here at Finny Lake that you need to camp here for a while, High Falls Campground is a splendid location for that. Finny Lake is not far at all from Thomaston, and fine water scenery is available at Finny Lake Dam near Finny Lake. Barnesville Motel is a great site to get some rest;

| | there are some great whitewater spots on Potato Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Economy Inn & Suites. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Finny Lake has to offer, you can camp at Heart of Georgia RV Park. Finny Lake is a wet site that gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout March while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. are frequently in the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, commonly in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Finny Lake are in the 30's. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Finny Lake.
