All the water falling down from the sky makes Ferry Lake a wet site; most of the rain falls during July while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Big Branch is a charming stream that is worth taking a look at, and after a long day outdoors Budget Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Ferry Lake,       and the overnight is a tad colder of course, ordinarily in the 70's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ferry Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Bluff Lake is a delightful lake close to Ferry Lake; camping at South Georgia RV Park is always a tremendous experience. Ferry Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Riverbend Bluegrass is a brilliant local campground, and a nice nearby hotel is Days Inn.
