At English Pond during the warm months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's, and overnight lows at English Pond during the winter typically fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot for whitewater paddling next to English Pond is Chattahoochee River; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always       go whitewater paddling on Mud Creek. People from Cornelia love to come to English Pond, and you'll hit upon a scenic lake called Thomas Pond. Hiking along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail is delightful fun, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Cornelia. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. You'll need more than a day to explore everything English                  Pond has to offer, you can camp at Serendipity Park Nudist Resort. Do stop by Bassinger Pond in the neighborhood of English Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and English Pond is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Mountain Creek Grove Nudist is a delightful place to camp nearby. Be careful coming to English Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. While you're here at English Pond you can take a hike along the Whitly Gap Trail; an out of the ordinary thing to go to close to English Pond is Thin River Orchard Dam. English Pond gets a lot of water; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
