English Pond is not far at all from Cornelia. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to English Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to English Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Nacoochee Valley Motel is a great place to get some rest,       and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Whitly Gap Trail. Camping at Mountain Creek Grove Nudist is always a great experience; get dripping wet paddling on Mud Creek. Thin River Orchard Dam is a scenic spot right next door to English Pond, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Cornelia; a brilliant                  place to camp here at English Pond is Appalachian Camper Park. Adams Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Chattahoochee River. English Pond is a rather wet place usually with a good deal of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is October.
