Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near English Lake. Here at English Lake you'll perhaps meet some people from Thomaston; a good nearby hotel is Best Western Hilltop Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at English Lake typically tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 50's; through the dark hours       in the winter at English Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. Not far from English Lake you obtain some delightful water scenery at English Lake Dam, and if you come at the right time of year, Little Towaliga River offers some great whitewater. Big Towaliga Creek is a charming stream that is worth checking                  out, and you can go for a hike on the Ocmulgee River Trail. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Morgan's Dairy Golf Club, and you'll discover a beautiful lake called Barnesville Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Towaliga River; why not camp at L and D RV Park since you're here at English Lake.
