Ellison Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Kennesaw Koa Kampground is a perfect site to camp nearby, and dry warm       beds await you at TownePlace Suites Atlanta Kennesaw. Lakes are perfect; Murrays Lake is a lake that's right next door to Ellison Lake, and Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is one of the destinations that are good to stop at close by. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to come across some smiling folks from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here. If you come at the right time of year, Sope Creek offers some delightful whitewater, and Cobblestone                  Golf Course is a glorious golf course close by. Summertime highs at Ellison Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Ellison Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Rottenwood Creek, and Upper Tanyard Creek Swimming Beach is a beach nearby that you can stop by. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Ellison Lake. Noonday Creek Structure Number Nine Dam has glorious water scenery and it's next to Ellison Lake.
