The high level of rainfall makes Ellers Lake a reasonably wet place; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is October. Go for a hike                  on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and this is a popular place for people from Cornelia. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Whitly Gap Trail. A pleasant spot to camp here at Ellers Lake is Moccasin Creek State Park; good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. If you like the outdoors, you'll adore Ellers Lake.
