Go to Elders Lakes if you want to go to a nice lake. You can take a little spree to Lower Elders Dam if you're here at Elders Lakes, and Elders Lakes is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. There is a good hiking trail near Elders Lakes called the Falling Camp Trail; in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apalachee

The warmest time of the year at Elders Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, generally in the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Elders Lakes without first checking out Horseshoe Bend, and Rose Creek
is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The Mounds Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Elders Lakes. A good deal of rainfall falls at Elders Lakes; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is September.
