Eagles Nest Lake is a rather wet place typically with lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Benton Mackaye Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cooper Creek. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express BLAIRSVILLE       is a good choice, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Blood Mountain Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Milton Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest; not far from Eagles Nest Lake you'll find Woody Lake which is a beautiful lake. Through the long summer days at Eagles Nest Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's while                  the cold winter nights at Eagles Nest Lake are in the 20's. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nearby Cavender Gap is a splendid location to go if you're at Eagles Nest Lake; the top of Cavender Mountain is easily seen from Eagles Nest Lake. Eagles Nest Lake Dam has great water scenery and it's close to Eagles Nest Lake. There's so much to do here at Eagles Nest Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Two wheels Only Motorcycle Resort is a wonderful place for that. Eagles Nest Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Woody Gap Campground is a nice local campground. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Near Eagles Nest Lake you stumble on the Duncan Ridge Trail which is a delightful hiking trail; why not check out nearby Baker Branch while you're here at Eagles Nest Lake. But wait, there's more to do close to Eagles Nest Lake.
