There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Big Creek, and a good nearby hotel is Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/AlpharettaWindward. Eads Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is March, and September meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.       Visiting Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Golf can be played at Crooked Creek Golf Club; if you're stopping by from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, you won't be the only one. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Eads Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's with winter                  lows in the 20's overnight here at Eads Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Very tremendous water scenery is available at Eads Dam in the neighborhood of Eads Lake, and you're possibly addicted to lakes, Copeland Lake is one of those close by. Why not camp at Twin Lakes Park since you're here at Eads Lake; there's whitewater on Marsh Creek for all you adrenaline people. What a spot this is for outdoors people.
