A journey to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is worthwhile, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Eads Dam. Good hiking is available along the Brookshire Creek Trail, and Crooked Creek Golf Club is a great golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Twin Lakes Park is a pleasant site to camp; if you've had enough of Eads Lake, Copeland Lake is       close by. If you need a site to stay Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/Alpharetta-Windward is a delightful choice, and get wet paddling on Marsh Creek. If you're popping by Eads Lake from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, you won't be the only one, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Big Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Summer at Eads Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the overnight is a little cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. The cold days                  of the winter come with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Eads Lake. Eads Lake gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and September is when it's the driest. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Eads Lake.
