Benning is a tremendous location to get some rest. Paddling on Chattahoochee River is so much fun; a lovely lake like Gordys Pond is a magnificent place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Super Value Inn-Richland, and Jenkins Pond is a tremendous lake close by. Dykes Pond is not far at all from Columbus. If you're a golfer then a delightful nearby       course is Red Oak Golf Club, and why not take a little journey to Cany Creek if you're here. For the duration of the summer months here at Dykes Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 90's; the night is a bit colder of course, commonly in the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Dykes Pond dip into the 30's. Dykes Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of March is the                  wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is October. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are really abundant here at Dykes Pond.
