Why not check out Dumas Lake Dam while you're here, and Ocmulgee National Monument is a very great place to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little River, and Dumas Lake is a delightful site to camp, Little River Park is a delightful site. Comfort Inn & Suites is a delightful place to get some rest, and there's wonderful hiking along       the Twin Bridges Trail. Be careful coming to Dumas Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. If you need a location to stay Gray Days Inn is a wonderful choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Dumas Lake; Kinnard Horse Trail is a good local trail. High temperatures at Dumas Lake during the long summer days are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 50's, and night lows through the wintertime                  for Dumas Lake tend to be in the 30's. Church Campground is a great campground here, and don't leave Dumas Lake without first going for a hike along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail.
