Get wet paddling on Little River, and a magnificent close by hotel is Days Inn Macon East. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course not far from Douglas Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Gray is a glorious choice;       Little River Park is a nice campground nearby. Douglas Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. Douglas Lake Dam is a lovely location next to Douglas Lake, and at Douglas Lake you always meet someone from Macon. Douglas Lake is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Lake Juliette Dames Ferry Park is a nice site to camp nearby; not far from Douglas                  Lake you'll hit upon Moore Lake which is a delightful lake. Summertime highs at Douglas Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Douglas Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Man, is there heaps of fun things to do in close proximity to Douglas Lake.
