Double Lakes sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls during August while October is typically the driest month. During the summer at Double Lakes highs are ordinarily in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Double Lakes. Waycross-Days Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest,       and Okefenokee Pastimes is a fine campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Double Lakes you will meet lots of people from nearby Waycross, and don't leave Double Lakes without first going for a hike along the Indian Trail. Yeah, come here to Double Lakes for a fine time.
