District Pond is a wet location that gets a great deal of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. While       you're here at District Pond you can take a hike along the Okefenokee Wilderness Canoe Trail, unsurprisingly you could also go to Water Bay while you're here; it's not far at all.
