Dickson Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Dickson Lake. After a long day outdoors Key West Inn La Fayette is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; whitewater paddling is glorious on Allen Creek. Cloudland Canyon State Park is a fine local campground, and obviously Dickson Creek flows through this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Lafayette Days Inn is a good location to get some rest; if
you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Summerville.
Dickson Lake is not the only place nearby, Duck Pond is a nearby lake, and golf can be played at Lafayette Golf Course. A short trip to Dickson Spring is always worthwhile, and going for a hike along the Bluff Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. All the water falling down from the sky makes Dickson Lake a wet place; throughout the month of March you get the most rain

around here while October is ordinarily the driest month.
Why not camp at James H. Floyd State Park since you're here at Dickson Lake, and taking a little spree to close by Atwood Point is a great idea. Get drenched paddling on Gulf Creek, and a lake close by is Chandler Lake. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Dickson Lake.
The warmest time of the year at Dickson Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Dickson Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Skyuka Trail is perfect fun; nearby you stumble on tremendous places like Burnt Mill Valley.
