You can take a little journey to Meadow Brook Dam since you're here at Dickson Lake, and Peachstone Shoals is unquestionably a fine place to visit. always a delight. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Dickson Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and overnight
lows in the 30's for Dickson Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Atlanta Conyers is a fine choice, and Dickson Lake is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Salem Campground is a fine site to camp nearby.

 | Putting in at Killian Hill Rd , the best white water is just down river from HWY 78 to the Yellow River Park. Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
