Do pop by Bearden Lake in close proximity to Diamond Lake, it's a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Cartecay River Watershed Structure Number Five Dam since you're here at Diamond Lake, and nearby you hit upon the Tearbritches Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge       Mountains. Camping at Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge is always a great experience, and a pleasant place is Low Gap. And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Toccoa River, and why not a little side journey to Bearden Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of George Mountain from Diamond Lake is stunning, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Benton Mackaye Trail. High                  temperatures at Diamond Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Diamond Lake. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Diamond Lake. A great site to camp here at Diamond Lake is Under the Hemlock, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn/ Blue Ridge. The high level of rain makes Diamond Lake a pretty wet place; through the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is ordinarily the driest month. So much fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just mind-blowing.
