Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Vidalia, and of course, this is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes, Gross Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. The warmest time of the year at Dejarnetts Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's; night lows in the 30's for Dejarnetts  
   Pond. Having a great time at Dejarnetts Pond is trouble-free. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dejarnetts Pond has to offer, you can camp at Pecan Park.

Towns Bluff Heritage Center...
...e of the most sought-after for avian fans from all over the country. With over two miles of trails, just about everyone will find that Towns Bluff Park is ideal for lolling away an afternoon in harmony with nature.

The Towns Bluff RV Park and Campground has 22 level sites, including 12 pull-through sites. Each site contains water, electricity, a picnic table and fire ring. The clean comfort station with showers is centrally located in the park. For those who like to “rough it,” a primitive area is also available. A day-use area complete with grills, picnic shelters and restrooms is located near the river.

The Heritage Center includes a fledgling museum of river and Indian artifacts. You never know what will be going on in the Center. Children's activities are held on a monthly basis and cover topics such as making holiday gifts from nature, learning about the life cycle of the butterfly, designing your own birdhouse, and touching real live snakes!
