    Do stop by Dean Lake while you're in this part of Georgia. You absolutely have to fancy the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came to camp Sleepy Hollow Campground is a wonderful site to do that, and there's some interesting stuff to spot at High Valley Boys Club Lake Dam near Dean Lake. Go for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Cornelia. Dean Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all  
   the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sight of Baker Knob from Dean Lake is beautiful; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sky Valley is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Baker Branch if you're here at Dean Lake; drift down the rapids of Moccasin Creek in a kayak.
 
               Dean Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Hiwassee River and High Shoals Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Ridges Resort & Club. The warmest time of the year at Dean Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Dean Lake are in the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Dean Lake without first going for a hike along the Chattahoochee Trail. There's so much to do here at Dean Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mr Bud's Campground is a good site for that. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Dean Lake. Going for a hike on the Raven Cliff Falls Trail is always a great adventure, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Alpine Helen is a brilliant choice.
