In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Settingdown Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Twin Lakes Park is a pleasant location to camp. Summertime highs at Dean Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are       commonly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Dean Lake. While you're here at Dean Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, and dry warm beds await you at Oakwood at Camden Deerfield. Amicalola Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close to Dean Lake, and let's not forget Hurricane Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. Dean Lake sees pretty high levels                  of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Dean Lake, for example Westbrook Lake, and Sawnee Campground is a delightful campground nearby. This place, Dean Lake, it completely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Woodmont Golf Club, and not far from Dean Lake you'll discover Reservoir 27 which is a beautiful lake.
